Originally from The Woodlands, TX, Alan moved to Houston in 2011 after graduating from Texas A&M University. He then began working in oil and gas within IT. Newly out to his friends and family, he began exploring the Houston LGBT community and searching for ways to meet others in a similar place in their lives. In 2013, with coaching and support from friends, he started Lambda NextGen in January 2013. Since that first happy hour with 35 attendees, the group has rapidly expanded, continues to try new events, and provides a safe space for young LGBT professionals to network. Today, with co-chair Kyle Santolini, he leads the Lambda NextGen Houston Board of Directors and is incredibly proud of the newly formed team. Outside of Lambda NextGen Houston, Alan is also a dedicated member of the Montrose Softball League.
